AM Stonework were tasked to make a high quality artistic fence that will last 100 years, while managing tricky neighbours and staying on budget.
They needed to handle heavy soils, a sloping block, tricky access, fussy neighbours, limited working space, extra height (scaffold needed) and having to ensure equal quality on both sides.
Heavy soils meant they built without concrete footing. Stone footings were installed up to 600mm below ground level and feature walls built on top.
AM Stonework met these demands by utilising local Beverley stone (granite) and existing stone from the property with Cockborn brickies lite mortar.
