D& D Technologies

Fencing AwardsFencing Awards—March 3, 20220

Australian company, D&D Technologies, is a company dedicated to the design and manufacture of quality, state-of the-art gate latches, locks and hinges.

Established in the early 1990s as a fencing and balustrading design company, D&D gained international recognition with its ground-breaking MagnaLatch®, a magnetic child safety gate latch for swimming pool and other child safety gates, which was soon awarded prestigious design awards for its revolutionary design.

Fueled by the rapid success of their life-changing MagnaLatch® the company then took another innovative turn by conceiving a polymer gate hinge, the TruClose® Gate Hinge. Guaranteed against rust, binding, sagging and staining, the radical TruClose hinge also picked up an Australian Design Award.

Following the success of D&D’s child safety gate hardware, it went on to design and manufacture a complete range of polymer-based latches, locks and hinges at its Sydney premises, including the general-purpose LokkLatch®, and the higher-security LokkLatch® DELUXE and LokkLatch® MAGNETIC Gate Lock.

In recent times it’s introduced a diverse range of hydraulically operating, commercial-style gate hinges and closers under the SureClose® banner.

Since those early days D&D has expanded operations domestically and internationally and continues to grow its product range, delivering innovative safety, privacy and security gate hardware solutions for all manner of residential and commercial gates.

It’s a fiercely passionate Aussie-owned and -made company with ISO-9001 Quality Assurance status that demands continuous quality and durability. It’s believed to be the first gate hardware company in the world to offer a Lifetime Warranty.

D&D Technologies enjoys a reputation as the #1 gate hardware designer in the world, with established markets in Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Canada, South America, the UK and continental Europe.

The family owned company is fiercely proud of the fact its products save children’s lives and protect families.

It gives back to communities globally with its strong financial and practical support of child-drowning-prevention organisations and campaigns worldwide.
